It’s nice to have lovely accommodations here, because they offer an additional respite at the end of the day.  New York can be draining, and it’s nice to be able to relax in pure comfort at the end of every day, and to know that you have a bed with crisp clean sheets always waiting for you.  New York can be a wild ride, but it’s absolutely worth it. There’s always exciting and eclectic new work to see here all the time, and one of the most interesting groups of the new generation of performance artists is 3-Legged Dog.  They began as an artist collective devoted to the creation and promotion of new works of large-scale experimental performance in 1994, and have been doing amazing things ever since.  They’ve shown work at all the right places, like P.S.122 and the Ontological-Hysteric Theatre.  Today they have another arm, called 3LDNYC, which is an extension of the first Dog, and offers artists a working studio to create large-scale artworks.  This building is in Lower Manhattan, rebuilt in 2006 after the first one was destroyed in the attacks of 911, and was the first production company to rebuild downtown.  It’s a lively place today, and they host 500 artists a year in their residency program.  Between the two arms of this Dog, there are many artists who are interconnected, revealing a fascinating network of minds and talents, and worth looking into, because the future is somewhere in all of this.
